Q: Delineate Article 324 of Indian Constitution ?
Ans: Part XV of the Constitution of India consists of Articles on Elections. Article 324 of the Constitution provides that the power of superintendence, direction and control of elections to parliament, state legislatures, the office of president of India and the office of vice-president of India shall be vested in the election commission.
Under the supervision of the commission, free and fair elections have been held in India at regular intervals as per the principles enshrined in the Constitution.
As per Article 324 given in Part 15 of the Indian Constitution, the control of elections, the direction and superintendence of the elections will be vested in the hands of the Election Commission of India.
